Restricted species

A species restricted to an organism or an environment is a species that is very closely linked to this organism or environment: its survival would be very difficult without this organism or environment.

They are therefore narrowly restricted to these plants. © Ombrosoparacloucycle CC by-nc-sa 2.0 Members of the family Chrysomelidae, of which the larvae are shown here, exclusively feed upon plants from a single family, or a single genus.
