Passeriformes

The Passeriformes order includes about one third of French birds and two thirds of the world's aviary fauna (about 5,000). They are generally small (except for corvids), live in trees and sing bird songs. The only characteristics they have in common are: the arrangement of digits (anisodactyly), the number of primary feathers (10) and cervical vertebrae (14).
