Hemiptera

Hemiptera is an order or sub-order of insects that undergo incomplete metamorphosis, characterised by the possession of an articulated rostrum which protects a sucker-stinger stylus (in true bugs). Their forewings are hardened near the base and membranous, or crossed (in true bugs).

The Hemiptera order includes different species of bugs that live on land or in water (Heteroptera), as well as cicadas, treehoppers, froghoppers, Fulgoridae, leafhoppers, aphids, psyllids, whiteflies, mealy bugs...(Homoptera).
