The Canada Space Agency, of which the headquarters are located at Saint-Hubert in Quebec, was founded in 1989 and is in charge of coordinating all aspects of the Canadian space programme.

Its "Space knowledge, applications and industrial development" sector of activity provides services in the following sectors: Earth and environment, Space science, Human presence in space, Satellite telecommunications, Generic space technology, Space qualification and awareness services.
