Solar power station

An installation that produces energy from sunlight.

A thermal (or thermodynamic) solar power station transforms sunlight into heat, which is then used to produce electricity. Reflectors are used to concentrate sunlight onto a heat transfer liquid directed towards a turbine. Multiple configurations are possible.

A photovoltaic farm is composed of solar panels, with a high number of photoelectric cells that directly convert sunlight into electricity.
