Regional Natural Park

In France, a regional natural park is a remarkable place in terms of its architectural, historical, cultural, botanical features... This label was created in France in 1967. A regional natural park is created by local districts that want to preserve this heritage, using an official state label and under a charter.

Currently, there are 46 regional natural parks in France, spread over 13 % of the territory, which include forests, farmland and developed land.
