Oil producing plant
An oil producing plant, or oleaginous plant, is a plant from which vegetable oil can be extracted from the fruit or seeds.
For example, rapeseed, sunflower and olive trees are oil producing plants.
Vegetable oil collected from these plants can be used for food for humans or to produce biofuel for diesel engines, in its pure form or transestherised (FAME, FAEE).
