Moisture regime

The moisture regime of an aquatic ecosystem is the predominant water circulation model over a given period of time.

It describes flood periods and their duration, two factors that influence the hydrogeomorphology (changes in the appearance wetlands depending on erosion and sedimentation) and the ecology of freshwater environments.
