Greenwashing, or green sheen, is a marketing practice that uses often misleading environmental arguments to sell products that are not, most of the time, so green.

NGOs set up an Independent Advertising Observatory (OIP) to denounce this unfair practice which tricks customers and undermines the efforts of organisations that are truly engaged in an eco-friendly and responsible approach.
