AMAP

An AMAP (Association pour le Maintien d'une Agriculture Paysanne, or Association for the Maintenance of Local Farming) is a solidary local partnership between a farmer and a group of consumer-actors in support of economically, socially and ecologically sustainable farming.

Objectives

• Recreate social links between city dwellers and farmers in a region;
• Provide financial security for farmers who use sustainable farming methods;
• Support access to and education on quality food.
