Ultraviolet

Ultraviolet radiation is electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths between 20 nm and 400 nm. Its types are:
UVA (wavelength between 320 and 400 nm) used for "sun tanning";
UVB, more energetic and partially filtered out by the ozone layer (282 to 320 nm);
UVC, very energetic, totally blocked by the ozone layer (100 to 280 nm).
An increase in UV radiation on Earth would cause an increase in skin cancers.
