Neutral current

There are several sorts of neutral current and here only the lepton neutral current is covered.

A lepton neutral current results from the evolution of a lepton without any modification to its electrical charge. For example, a neutrino that remains a neutrino after a reaction; this is the case for elastic neutrino-electron diffusion. These are the types of reactions that were observed using GARGAMELLE in 1972. Such reactions occur with the exchange of a Z0 boson.
