Becquerel

The becquerel is the international legal (SI) unit of radioactivity. One becquerel (Bq) is equal to one disintegration per second (1 curie = 37 billion Bq). This unit represents such low activities that multiples of it are usually used: the MBq (Mega or million becquerels), the GBq (Giga or billion ) or the TBq (Tera or thousand billion becquerels).
