Rhinopharyngitis
Rhinopharyngitis is an inflammatory disorder of the upper part of the pharynx (cavum) variably associated with a nasal condition.
It is usually caused by a virus.
Antibiotic treatment for acute uncomplicated rhinopharyngitis is not justified in either adults or children. Only obvious assumed bacteria complications (acute otitis, medium sinusitis) justify antibiotics being used.
