Penicillin

Penicillin is an antibiotic discovered accidentally in 1928 by Alexander Fleming, a professor of bacteriology. It is used to treat bacterial infections, mostly those due to Gram positive bacteria.

Penicillin is a very popular antibiotic as it has limited side effects.
