Hormone-sensitive

The term hormone-sensitive refers to a tumour whose cells grow more quickly in response to a specific hormone (for example, a hormone-sensitive prostate tumour grows in response to testosterone in the patient's blood (see testosterone). The term "hormone-dependent" is also occasionally used.
