Acetaldehyde

Acetaldehyde is a chemical which is carcinogenic in animals (it causes tracheal tumours in hamsters) and is strongly suspected of being carcinogenic in human beings. Acetaldehyde is found in tobacco smoke at a concentration of one milligram per cigarette.
