X. 509v3

X. 509v3 is an ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union standardisation sector) digital certificate which is an internationally recognised electronic document to prove the identity and ownership of a public key on a network. It contains the issuer's name, identification information, digital signature and other possible extensions in version 3.
