Nigerian scam

The Nigerian scam is a fraud consisting in sending a mass of e-mails containing tales of distress about - amongst others - the terrible story of a widow or a former diamond merchant. These e-mails invite the recipient to receive a deposit on their personal account and to return the amount in the form of cheques. The aim of the scam is to siphon off money from over-credulous users.
