Quartzite

Quartzite is a sedimentary rock composed of quartz grains cemented by neoformed quartz, conferring great hardness. Metamorphically, quartzes can result from the recrystallizing of sandstone or siliceous rocks initially composed of amorphous silica and chalcedony.
