Cubic system

The cubic system is a crystal system with a cube as unit cell of the lattice. The three crystallographic axes (a, b, c) have equal lengths and the angles formed are all 90 degrees. The characteristic symmetry elements are threefold axes, always 4 in number (4A3). There are 5 crystal classes in this system.
