Homogamy

Homogamy is a method of reproduction in which mating is not random. Quite the reverse, homogamy involves the growth of individuals who are similar in certain phenotypic characteristics (height, colour, etc.).

Homogamy causes changes in prevalence of genotypes with a trend towards homozygous individuals.
