RAM

Random Access Memory. Unlike read only memory (ROM), random access memory can be modified any number of times once it is powered up. In a computer, the random access memory is a temporary store for files that the computer is executing. There are many types of RAM. SDRAM (Synchronous Dynamic RAM) replaced RAM EDO at the core of our computers, and DDR memory, based on SDRAM technology but with twice the data transfer rate. The latter is thus more powerful at frequencies of up to 150 MHz.
