Core 2 Duo

The Core 2 Duo processor family from Intel, like the previous Core Duos has a double core. Compared with its predecessor, it is compatible with the Intel 64-bit instruction set (EMT64), has a lower power consumption and partial reuse of the Netburst architecture of the Pentium 4 and D, together with elements of the Pentium M for laptops. The cache memory for each core is 2 or 4 MB according to the model. The FSB (Front Side Bus) runs at 266 MHz in a quad pumping cycle, the equivalent of 1066 MHz.
