Lipophile

A lipophilic substance is one that has an affinity for non-polar solvents such as lipids (fatty substances). Lipophilic (or hydrophobic) substances are soluble in fats.

On the other hand they are insoluble in polar solvents such as water. In this respect they are called hydrophobic.
