Lanthanides

The lanthanides are the 15 elements in the periodic classification between lanthanum (atomic number 57) and lutetium (71). All are f-block elements except lutetium which is d-block, but it is so chemically similar to the others that it is usually considered as a lanthanide. Certain lanthanides have applications in electronics and catalysis.
